Hired Guns – a great band from the days of the Last Cowboy – is returning to the Arena Saturday, February 1st!

Hired Guns was one of the most popular Country bands to ever come out of Pennsylvania about 10 years ago, Now, finally, they are back together as the New Hired Guns and is made up of the following incredibly talented players. Joe Mohn, Rob Porter, Mike Morrison, Ronnie Rhoads and Jim Rhoads.

Hired Guns is a 5 piece County Rock Band doing Top 40 Country, covers and originals.

They debuted in Oct of 2013 at the Winner’s Circle in Grantville and   People are very excited about their coming back to entertain again.  Needless to say the place was packed every night and on Sat. night the place filled to capacity and had to turn people away.

We like to promote their “Third Set'”  it is most UN-usual and not being done by any other band.  The people really, really, love it and the DJ on duty said he got “goose bumps,” numerous time through out.  Be sure you catch it.

This years State College Idol was bigger and better than ever, and from all of us here at the Arena we would like to thank every single person who competed and every single person who came out to support! This year we saw the best talent the contest has ever seen and it was truly anyones game to win.A huge thanks goes out to PJ Mullen from B94.5 Morning Zoo Crew for being our host yet again this year. We definitly can’t forget the fantastic DJ Ricky LaPean for not only bringing the party every week but making sure the contestants sounded their best and could put on the show they wanted everyone to see. Last but not least thank you to our judges! We had a rough year with judges but to everyone who helped judge this year, we could not have done it with out you!

We look forward to continuing the tradition next year and we can’t wait to see what talent arrives at our door! Have a great Spring and we’ll see you next Fall!!!

The Arena Bar & Grill has the hottest New Year’s Eve party in town again this year! The Screaming Ducks are live playing your favorite classic rock from 10pm ’til 2am.
